Youth Ministry

Youth Group

Our youth group focuses on high schoolers who ask “How is Jesus working in my life?” “How can I understand Christ better?” Our adult volunteers care deeply about our kids, and they want to see them thrive, so they stay connected with our youth. Welcome to Wednesday nights! Music, intentional worship, discipleship, service, and sharing of the gospel.

Youth Group 2023-2024!

We are excited to share that Water Street Church youth have been invited to attend New Life Youth for the 2023/24 ministry year. Currently, WSC does not have a faith formation coordinator or youth leaders and we feel that this will be a great option for youth that attend WSC.
Below is an announcement from Rebecca Bokma with details about New Life’s first meeting.

If you would like to sign up, or have any questions, please contact our office and Eve will connect you. All people in grades 9-12 are welcome! (There is a registration fee of $50.00 to cover some of the activity costs.)

New Life Youth is starting on September 13! To kick off an awesome year we will be meeting at Hoffer Park in Elora (Margaret St, Elora, ON N0B 1S0) at the picnic shelter from 6:00-8:00 PM. There will be pizza and hiking, so dress appropriately to be moving around and climbing!
Bring a completed and signed youth registration form to be entered into a draw for a Tim Hortons gift card! If you have any questions contact Rebecca.

SERVE 2023!

Some of our youth flew to Vancouver in March on an inner city Serve Project, partnering with other young people from Ontario. They fundraised to cover costs of the trip, and came back with powerful stories of how they felt the spirit of God at work.

Watch the video of their trip here. Share it with friends! And, if you are a young person, consider joining a Serve Project at your church!!!

When I was young, I said to God, “God, tell me the mystery of the universe.” But God answered, “That knowledge is reserved for me alone.” So I said, “God, tell me the mystery of the peanut.” Then God said, “Well George, that’s more nearly your size.” And he told me.
